                        Race two, Cadwell Park

Not as emotional as Brands or Silverstone as not as iconic, plus had ridden two track experiences and two track days at Cadwell so even knew the circuit a little whereas Brands and Silverstone were both learnt on the fly. Prior to Silverstone, Brands and even Cadwell, spent quite a bit of time on YouTube watching on board footage of the circuits being ridden so that circuits were familiar. Riding is very different to YouTube but it certainly helps.

Top tip from an ex work colleague now racing with British Motorcycle Club, Bemsee, was to race with the fuel required for a race only instead of a full tank. Tried this for the first time at Cadwell and running with three or four litres required for a race instead of a full tank of 18 litres is a weight saving of about ten kilos or a stone and a half. Saving a stone and a half of fuel on a 55 bhp bike helps a lot considering the bike already has a 15 stone rugby player on its back, 16 stone with leathers, boots and helmet!

Cadwell went well until a front fork seal went at the end of the first day, no replacements available so that was the end of the weekend. Finished last but two so again making progress.
